The Cork International Hotel

The 9th Irish Discworld Convention will be returning to Cork, at the wonderful Cork International Hotel. We have had excellent feedback from our 2023 attendees, with many people praising the hotel's accommodating team, the spacious lobby and the colourful bathrooms. We’re very pleased they’re happy to have us back.

The hotel is quirky and comfortable, and we think Discworld fans feel right at home here. It's in a great location, just outside of Cork city in the south west of Ireland: less than 5 minutes on foot from the Airport itself, and there are regular buses to and from town. It is fully wheelchair accessible, has a kids’ club, a gym, a hairdressers', and a private cinema. There's a bar menu, lobby menu and restaurant, as well as 24-hour room service. Free parking is available to all residents.

Accommodation Costs

Signature Rooms:

  • Room only: €160 per room, per night
  • Single Occupancy: €172 B&B per room, per night
  • Double Occupancy: €184 B&B per room, per night

Supplementary charges: 

  • Family rooms for 2 adults and 1-2 kids €35.00 per night
  • Third person adult supplement €40.00 per night
  • Upgrade from Signature to Deluxe €35.00 per night
  • Upgrade from Signature to Executive €50.00 per night 
  • Any children’s ages at the time of stay must be 12 years or under to get a child’s rate, anybody over 12 is considered an adult.

Those of you who have attended before will notice an increase in room rates. We have negotiated the best room rate available with the hotel, but this this increase was unavoidable as explained in our Newsletter and in our FAQ.

Many people like to reduce costs by sharing a room with another attendee. Such arrangement are made privately between members - you can find potential room share on our Facebook page
